Yes of course.

Lets imagine that of some reason all mammals would disappear. All the free places will be filled by other animals and will start resembling them.

But just like Dolphins only resemble fish superficially those other animals that will take the mammals places can never get rid of their fundamental structure.

All I am saying is: It is unlikely that the same structures should happen to be the same everywhere in the universe (especially considering the variety we have on earth alone) so I am interested in seeing some other body structures that are different and could work.
