So /sci/ nearly all sci-fi books/movies/games thrive on the idea of a more advanced race meeting humanity then thrusting their thorny alien dick in our anus but what about the opposite situation? What do you think would happen if humanity advanced enough to do proper interplanetry travel efficently and met an alien race? Lets just assume the alien race is on about the same level as we are now in terms of technology but humanity is far more ahead than it is now. So what would you do or what do you think humanity would do?

Explain to me /sci/ this Quantum Immortality.

So if Quantum immortality is right then everytime i do an action that i die in, i survive another universe and i 'die' in the present one. Now here's a hypothetical situation for you. By the statement above it suggests that this universe is a possible outcome to an action that has happened in another universe. Now what happens if an alternate me sets out a task to see if Quantum immortality is true and is going to shoot himself in the head and, if true go to the universe where he survives. So does this me become aware of the fact that he has 'died' also since there is supposedly an infinite number of universe this has happened an infinite number of times. So why don't we have people claiming that this situation has happened to them all the time? saying they come from an alternate universe? Unless the consciousness 'forgets' the fact you died.
