1. Does all this talk of beings from another dimension being able to step into our world via the LHC have any merit to it?

2. If so, what kind of beings? Does another dimension mean they don't have the same rules of physics? Like they could just be anything? Or would they be monsters/humanoid aliens with DNA?

Would it be possible for me to get into a physics PhD program? I have over two years of physics research, including an REU that I will be attending this summer and a lot of very strong references. The problem is that my GPA is at a 2.9 and I want to start applying next semester. Would any school accept me?
