How could you ever tell that humans aren't chinese rooms anyway.
And don't tell me "i have concious experience" that's exactly what a chinese room would say.

Does a degree obtained by distance education have less prestige?
Like a Math one.

Afternoon /sci/;

Freshman in college here, just finishing up my first year as a physics major, and I have a social science / biology question about my experience in college.

Put simply I'm confused by my sexual success . In high school, I was a typical 4chan foreveralone guy - I had never touched a girl, let alone had sex with one, and I didn't expect college to be much different; I always wanted to, but girls were just never attracted to me. I'm decent looking and reasonably assertive, but women and I just never got along. Over the course of the past year, however, everything has turned around - right from the first week of college and continuing until about December, I was managing hookups nearly every weekend with 8/10 or better girls, at which point I found a stable girlfriend (who I love, and who I would've considered far out of my league in HS) and had an amazing relationship with her.

My question is simple - is there any /sci/entific explanation for this change? I don't act any different then I did back then (isofar as I can tell) other then that I go to frat parties on the weekends. If it matters, I'm at a top-10 university. Somehow I can't help but wonder if biology or social psychology or something can explain this.

Pondering this is almost making me wonder whether I should add a second major in psychology or something.
