Neuroscience. Best science, or bestest science?

Lets change that. Ask questions, and answer to the best of your knowledge.

Aren't they amazing? Astrocytes both form the brilliant most stars below which we sleep, and the sold earth upon which we stand. We see them, we <span class="math">are[/spoiler] them, but we do not understand. Pyramidal neurons are the trees which make up the wilderness that constitutes our mind. They make us speak, they give us life, but they remain a mystery to us. We walk amongst them but we do not understand. At least not for the moment. As fundamental to its respective discipline as particle physics, it lets us delve below the foundations of who we are. As interdisciplinary as social sciences, it shows us how we relate to the world around us. That is why chose to do neuroscience. That is why I’d like to see a neuroscience appreciation thread.
