/sci/ - Science & Math

This is a bit of a weird idea for a thread. You know those Periodic Table shower curtains? I'd kind of like to do one for the elementary particles, or maybe something else /sci/-related.

Does anyone have any experience with /sci/-related shower curtains or wallpapers.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Could someone on here explain to me what exactly quark flavors are? Are they representative of intrinsic properties such as mass, charge, or spin?

Dear all,

I am a physicist and a jigsaw-puzzles enthusiast. There are quite a few companies which offer to produce puzzles out of a picture of your own choice. I would like to present myself for my birthday with puzzles of the Standard Model. For this, I need a high resolution rendition of the said model. Also, I would like it to be rather interesting, 'cool' graphics, instead of a boring chart like the one in the picture attached. I have searched through the entire Google and found no picture that would satisfy both criterions. Could you please help?

Alternatively, any awesome (high-res) picture of CERN, CMB or from space would do (again, I'm looking for something more original than Pillars of Creation, Crab Nebula, Tarantula, Sombrero Galaxy, etc.)
