The overall lesson of this thread is to learn Japanese because it has other synergistic benefits. If you have ever watched anime, and you have a language credit requirement, then you must take it.

This too - Japanese is a noble language to learn, you can enjoy all animes and mangas untranslated, and japanese women are noble emotional creatures who mate for life.
