Not a virologists here, but I did watch the news on Friday.

I don't think anybody can predict it's peak. I mean we could if we had data on it's rate of spread, which we got from China. But then we'd also need data on our population which you get from testing regularly. We didn't do that so that data isn't available. Then if you take measures to intervene in the spread of the virus that also changes when it'll peak. They call that flattening the curve. (see pic) We did take measures to intervene so that's 2 reasons why we can predict. IMO it's peak is unpredictable.
