This thing is honestly going to be the end of NASA. They've fucked it up so badly that when there's an unfixable mechanical failure at L2, the whole agency is going to get canned by the Trump administration in favor of private space exploration. And he would probably be justified in doing that at this point.

Is this the absolute state of engineering? I'm not sure anymore that this is a good career if it means having my life ruined by my greedy employer in case something happens to me later in life.
