I'm finishing highschool this year and have absolutely no aspirations whatsoever. However, I can go to any college I want because all i've been doing these past 4 years has been studying and playing video games/browsing 4chan. The 2 biggest colleges in my country are medicine and electrical engineering.

Which one do I join, /sci/?

What does /sci/ think of mechanical engineering? You guys only ever talk about other types of engineering. Is it not a good choice?

exactly my point:the american educational system is so dumb so that even the biggest retards can pass it, while doing nothing to improve the average person.
Hence why 11 year olds can pass it

Ok.. its time to this one get busted by /sci/

He states that by the chemistry the water will loose its polar ability.. or hability ( this vid is full of typos) Now we all know this is bullshit and cannot happen but.. What would the outcome of this chemistry be?
Also the way he makes sodium acetate is retarded.. and pretty much all the measures are made by hand..
But my chemistry is rather rusty so i'm throwing challenge.. what would the outcome of all this be?

Dear /sci/,

give me scientific proof that we aren't in May, and if we aren't, why can't we be in May atm?

Thanks

When you read the original article (http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2010-11/sumc-nim111510.php)), you see the whole computer-analogue was for describing the new observation technique. The main point was this:

"In the course of the study, whose primary purpose was to showcase the new technique's application to neuroscience, Smith and his colleagues discovered some novel, fine distinctions within a class of synapses previously assumed to be identical."
