>What would be the purpose of sending men to the Moon

What is the purpose of sending men to the ISS? It is basically the same thing, and yet billions of dollars have been "wasted" on that as well.

On the moon, we could build a base, or even a city. Eventually, we could create moon sports. Could you imagine playing in the moon olympics? I would love to play soccer or ice hockey on the moon. Not to mention having sex, or taking ecstasy and raving on the moon.

Living on the moon would be absolutely awesome and interesting and fun. And even if you don't personally think so, it still remains factually the case that many other people would think so.

Not to mention the science and engineering goldmine it literally is, and what we could learn about both science and engineering to live on the moon.

>Russia agrees that it happened, therefore it happened

Take all other conspiracies in the past, that has since been officially admitted as conspiracies. Did Russia, or the rest of the world for that matter, call these conspiracies out while they were occurring and still relevant?

No. Other countries rarely meddle in the narrative the more powerful nations are selling their populace.

Now I do not have a strong opinion on whether the moon landings happened or not, and I also do not care. But the "Russia agrees" and "We don't need to go back" are demonstrably bullshit arguments.

Do you ever seek permission to use quotes from another article when writing your own? Can they sue you if you do and your article gets published?

I have a quote that's roughly ~250 words long from an article in an Elsevier journal. Do I absolutely need to ask them for permission about this? Is this something that all academics gets educated about and I've just missed? My apologies for being such a brainlet, btw.
