Hello, /sci/entists. I'm going into my Sophomore year of college in a week. Last year I started Geology, disliked the amount of petrol in it, and left. Now I have a dilemma. I'm looking at two majors- Biology and Information systems, both being a Bachelors degree in Science (In Biology my interest is in plant bio mainly). Now, I want to end up at NASA, or doing some sort of research, and cannot decide what to do at all. Any input? They have an Astronomy minor I also like.

Really don't want a corporate or business job.

/sci/, I have one very brief question. I am looking into possibly going to a college that prides itself on human ecology, and I'm tempted to go there and try to get a master's degree.

Now, the one question I have is:

Is there any economic viability in this science?

Okay /fit/ here's the skinny.

There's something I just don't understand. How can anyone deny evolutionary facts? I -cannot- understand what mindset is necessary to see it and push it away in favor of space pixies or something.

Please help me to understand. I respond well to analogies.

Yahoo told me that they found alien life from a meteorite they found 10 years ago (fossilized of course) and that some specimens are "close to those found on earth". Couldn't these just be organisms that fossilized on/in the meteorite after it fell to earth and that some of them may just be extinct and that's why we don't recognize them?

Do you guys pirate textbooks? I could really use some sources right now. If nobody wants to contribute, then college thread? I'm a first year bio major.
