Even back in the 80s the world was brimming with relevant documentation concerning hardware, software etc. DIY without relevant background knowledge, documentation or even basic guides usually does fucking nothing. Just imagine what a complete amateur could achieve using a Raspberry or god forbid soldering chips and resistors himself. Without any background knowledge or tutoring one would be completely out of his depth

So what do these potential DIY biohackers have? Is there easy to access documentation etc? Even youtube videos? Do you need to actually go out into some higher education to really delve into this stuff? Do you have to pirate or god forbid pay for papers? How out there is it?
