Hey /sci/. Never posted here before, but I've been wondering about how to find authoritative and accurate scientific literature. I'm specifically looking for comprehensive books on psychedelics (LSD, maybe DMT or psilocybin) and marijuana. I've found one called "The Pot Book: A Complete Guide to Cannabis", and it is written by a medical doctor, published 2005.

tl;dr how does one find objective, accurate and authoritative literature on scientific and/or medical topics, specifically what to look for in an author and publishing year.

You see, while the free market is flawless and perfect and can only do good, it is also very delicate. Even the smallest bit of government is enough to corrupt the entire system and make everything fail catastrophically. This is why countries such as Somalia are not the libertarian utopias they ought to be: there's still some piece of government somewhere ruining everything.
