Hey /sci/,

I'm in no way attempting to start a typical "IQ thread", because I genuinely need the following information for a social experiment.

>Take the following mensa-certified IQ test:
http://www.mensa.no/olavtesten/#

>Post *SCREEN SHOT* (this is necessary, as its the closest thing to tangible proof)

>Zodiac sign (For classification purposes, rather than asking "month of birth"; though not of the utmost importance, it'd help tremendously)

>PROSPECTIVE/CURRENT/PAST COLLEGE MAJOR; both this and the screen shot are necessary for the data.

I will be bringing up similar threads on several other boards that concentrate in more literary fields if I don't have a varied demographic.

Please know that both the SCREENSHOT and your COLLEGE MAJOR are both vital and will be of no use if not included.

Thanks for all your help!

What does /sci/ think of IQ tests? Are they a valid way of measuring intelligence?

What's your IQ and how old are you?

I want your opinion, as smart people on this-(science related, kind of)

I've been told how exceptionally smart I am since I was a kid, and now I find out I'm barely average.

Thing is, as of lately, I've kind of been wanting to become an expert in an advanced field of physics, maybe a combination of physics and biology.
Now the closest I see myself to that is cleaning up the floors at the laboratories.

My question is- is it worth studying physics if I get accepted to university, or am I doomed to be painfully mediocre if I can even get into that profession?

I'm in algebra 1 and I understand everything easily without putting any effort.

Took an IQ test and scored 167.

Can I be a physcist?

I don't think I'm very smart, /sci/. However, lots of people around me tend to disagree. I talk to friends and such who always ask me to help them do homework, as if they expected me to KNOW how to do it.

I've only ever taken an IQ test when I was very little, so I don't remember the results.

My question is: if you were intelligent, would you know? Maybe it is just my lack of self esteem.

Taking an IQ test in 1 hour for a psychologist's study. What should I expect? Not really a firm believer in the importance of these tests, but figured why the fuck not

Does anyone have a chart that shows what you can be expected to achieve at a certain IQ?

I need to know how far to push myself considering the money that can be involved.
