Isn't it break light speed or die on earth as a human species when our sun burns out?

This is probably the shortest way I can put it.

if light speed is a brick wall why can we olly reach a fraction of that speed now?

is it fuel limitations? ie we can't get enough fuel in orbit to keep accelerating?
