>Go to old church's college send off type thing
>Grew up as part of church, parted off in high school due to obvious reasons
>Be a mostly Chinese church, with parents being immigrants and meeting separately to meet in Chinese
>The kids and new coming English speakers meet in their own meeting
>At the send off, eating food, sit down with the parents and converse about college plans in Chinese
>Turns out most of the older generation/Chinese speakers, are pretty progressive, believe in a god, but accept evolution and such and kind of work it in to their beliefs
>Go to the English speaking portion for their advice
>All of it is god talk
>At one point, one of the people say something about professors trying to brainwash them out of their beliefs because the professors are more intelligent
>Tells them that if they get shown all these facts and such, just ignore it and stay strong to beliefs, that they're just trying to use their seniority to force their statements
>MFW the church has a children care type service that does the exact same thing but much worse

Seriously, does anyone else notice the contrasting beliefs in generations?
