Ah I see what you are talking about at least. You are referring to "Ice Ages" as periods of glaciation and inter-glaciation. I just usually don't work with geological time scales so we use "ice age" as a term referring to the global temperature anomalies which go through a whole cycle every 100,000 years. I guess different sciences use different terms based on what is relevant to them.

>I seriously hope you're not a "climate science graduate", if you are, go to one of your lectures and kindly ask him to explain to you what an "ice age" is.

I am. I finish my thesis this December and then will be going somewhere else to get my PhD. I focus on solar radiation though, so I don't do much work with paleoclimatology or ice ages.

Thanks for explaining yourself at least.

Pic related; Me and my NASA internship this summer. Just finished a couple days ago.

Anyone want me to dump some of the figures I created this summer doing atmospheric science research at my NASA internship?

Research Topic: Comparison of aerosol optical depth from several chemistry transport models and a brief look at the radiative forcing due to aerosols
