>it's like rotating an object
Fascinating.

Is that kind of like algebraic topology?

These are questions from someone that doesn't know anything about math but sometimes gets spontaneously interested and looks into some random topic for hours at a time.

Wonder how limited they will be when making the new landing legs. Can't change too much without having to redesign all the internals.

>Does it make you uncomfortable that all of your knowledge of imaginary number fields, borel sets, lebesgue integration, poincare duality, modules, meromorphic functions, etc. aren't sacred? Does the idea really bother you that much?
I have a master's in computer science, and the most complex stuff I've ever dealt with was partial differential equations and calculus of variations. I have no clue what the fuck the things you listed even are. I can do fizzbuzz in one line, though, and I know how to build hydralisks in starcraft.

It is interesting that Starship development seems to be going toward having the whole thing reusable before the maiden flight. Falcon 9 was sending up payloads while testing landing, wonder if we will see the same for Starship.
>Starship launches 400 Starlink satellites
>Booster lands
>Starship RUDs
>You still have an additional 400 Starlinks up and valuable data for Starship
Would be interesting to see desu

Why did 3 stage rockets fall out of favor after the Saturn V? Seems that everything is 2 stage nowadays.

Another great hurdle is making sure Starship can survive reentry AND perform the Crazy Elon maneuver without anything important being destroyed.
I wonder how they will test this?
IF Starship can SSTO with no cargo they would not have to wait for Super Heavy prototypes to begin testing reentry maneuvers and the hexagonal heatshields.
Exciting times lay ahead.

Falcon 9 is an incredible machine but it has it's weaknesses like any other rocket.
Mainly the inability to launch in anything other than perfect weather since it's so damn skinny.
