i just remembered, this is the first "layer" of the multi-layer constellation that they want to build. included in the final layer are deep space interceptor satellites that monitor cis-lunar space traffic. i heard they may have been canceled but they were a long term project anyway so they're bound to turn up again eventually.

I guess most people aren't aware that the military has been looking to deploy it's own global megaconstellation for years now. Space Force itself wants 4-5 constellations.

In defense related news...word is that the Space Development Agency's "Advanced Maneuvering Vehicles" (see pic) are intended to be surveillance spacecraft that would patrol cislunar space to gather intel on other nation's spacecraft in the region. Boring spacecraft but interesting that they want to expand surveillance to beyond Earth orbit.

What do we know about the "Advanced Maneuvering Vehicle" from the Space Development Agency? I assume that nobody here knows anything, but I'm asking just in case. Pic related.
