We discover a lot of math that emanates from nous but I don't think you can say stuff like Wiles's proof of Fermat's last theorem was discovered rather than invented in the same way that there isn't really an ideal metaphysical form for a chair, there are ideal mathematical shapes that can make up the chair which humans used to build it.
