So unlikely and unfounded that it is essentially pointless to argue for or consider.

There are no real holes in the current understanding of evolutionary science to say that "aliens had to be here to fix this or make it how it is". It's pretty clear from genealogy that humans evolved pretty naturally. It's not a wide stretch of the imagination in any capacity.

You don't need to discover something to be useful. There are literally billions of humans, and the majority of them have very little value to everyone as a whole.

Simply being here, being informed, and not spreading disinfo is more then enough to make the world and people smarter, more efficient, and make the world a better place. That's all you can do, and that should be enough for you to be happy.
