of General Relativity before Einstein?

Did Einstein, Heisenberg etc. know who Newton was?

i just found out that Einstein actually knew about Isaac Newton

i honestly didn't think the 20th century physicists knew about Newton, i thought his fame came much later

wouldn't we be praising them on the same level as Einstein?

he teaches at Princeton, why don't we hear what he has been cooking up lately in physics

general relativity was such a simple thing to come up with
