How do I write a exponential function in the form P(t)=P(a)^t with the two points (1,12) and (2,48). Do I take the ratio and use that for a or do I use 12 as the initial values and substitute in a x and y to find a?

What is the best one? All the ones I am finding are making me pay to see the steps involved. I'm fine with that, but I want a good one that doesn't give non-standard steps. Sometimes I can figure out the steps based on the solution given, which is actually helpful in learning.

I'm starting a degree in aerospace engineering in september. But I'm fucked. Even though I was good at math, I skipped large parts of it during high school and now have massive gaps in my knowledge.

Can you guys recommend a good undergraduate textbook to fill in the gaps that's clear and coherent?

I've noticed something: mathematicians are skinny.

Also: chess grandmasters are skinny.
