Im pretty happy being an aero engineer and working on technology whose power I believe in

Coding is fun but it isn't worth giving up intellectual growth over even if its easy money

Granted AI and cybersecurity are fascinating new fields but a software engineering degree isn't the only way to access them; knowing a programming language and how computers are built (memory allocation and all that) puts you at the same level as a script kiddie with a bachelors, just less experience, and you just self-teach the basics of AI or cyber.
