I see on here that Majoring in strictly math is a meme. I just got offered a $63k starting salary straight out of college with nothing but a Math degree and an Education minor. I really enjoyed studying Math in college. So don't let the memes out there fool you. You can get a decent job with just a Math degree. It also helps to not be a complete autist. You're very valuable as a STEM guy with social skills.

of course after getting a bsc, msc, phd and now a post doc, I could very easily work in big companies like google, microsoft, adobe, vmware etc
this is my back up plan in case shit hits the fan in academia, though I don't really think so because there are tons of funds coming from everywhere
