I have a question for /sci/ you bunch of nerds.

Ok so is the expansion of the universe actually accelerating with the aid of dark/anti-matter

Or is it merely an illusion caused by the time delay of light combined with gravitational distortions of our sun/galaxy.

Sure the universe is still expanding, but the acceleration could merely be an optical illusion in which we haven't accounted for said or aforementioned distortions.
