Why do you guys feel Psychology isn't science? Are you saying that you don't care about people wanting to understand human behavior? Or are you suggesting that psychologists screw the scientific method and just make shit up?

If you don't care about human behavior that makes no sense, everything we do is based on how and why people behave from the government we live in to the laws we are forced to live under to how and when we receive funding for science. There are many ways we've already benefited from the study of psychology.

If you think psychologists do not use the scientific method and just make up shit than I imagine it's because you don't understand psychology (I don't either but I admit it). The scientific method is about having a theory, creating a method to test your theory, reevaluating your theory after viewing the results of the test. This is the same whether you're testing for chemical reactions in a test tube or human reactions in a work setting.

So explain please, why should we not seek to understand human behavior? or in what way does psychology fail to use the scientific method?

If you fail at basic science then you fail at basic science.
