The Greeks proved the Pythagorean theorem logically, whereas the Babylonians "proved" it by measuring thousands of right angle triangles.

Which is more appropriate for what?

Ok so I want to have the sequence 0,1,0,1,0,1,...
Its generated by this: 1/2 (1 + (-1)^n)

Now I want the Sequence 0,1,2,0,1,2,0,1,2,...
Wolfram Alpha tells me the function to get this is a_n = (n + 2) mod 3
BUT in my program I can't to use MOD or IF(F) because it slows stuff down too much, I want a nice function like I had before. Recursion is no problem. Wat do?

What is graduate school for? Who is graduate school for?

My impression is that it lets students get the opportunity to REALLY study a subject in depth, to the point that basically you are then the authority on that subject because typically you're the only one doing that research.
What determines the research, though, is your advisor right? Or can you independently study something?
I really want to work as soon as I finish my BS, but would like to get my doctorates one day if possible. However my gpa is 3.4 right now. Am I out for good? Would it be stupid to go back and retake classes and try to get a higher grade? Or would schools take work experience into account for an application?

I need help for a physics exercise.
"Calculate the density of Oxygen at 273°C and the third of standard pressure.

The density of Oxygen at 273.15K is 1.429 kg * m^-3."

I looked up how to calculate density.
p = m/v

I have no idea what to do with this.

Sorry for my english.
