New mathematics to unite general relativity and quantum mechanics is not required. Quantum physics is simply our universe interacting with a parallel dimension. Like how one electron can be in two places at once, so were two universes born simultaneously. This is how the multiverse has always worked. Two are required to complete the physics of both, so there is an infinite number of universes with one parallel dimension for each.

Every pair has a different set of physics than the next pair, but every individual pair shares identical physics - except for one aspect. The two paired universes are opposites, as in the matter vs. anti-matter. Thank the stars they are parallel and can only interact through the quantum level. This interaction also explains why a particle can be both positive and negative energy at the same time, as it shares the same space (so to say) as its anti-matter counterpart. Sort of like a bleed through affect.
