I want your knowledge on something.

When I was 6 years old or so, I had a vaccine I believe for TB. Now from what I have been told and what I recall, I was given far too much. The nurse was meant to give me a small dose but she gave me far too much.

This led to me being very ill for a while, having to take anti-biotics for 2 years and for some reason, I got a really weird scar on the shoulder where the vaccine was given.

It sort of looks like shiny skin in a way, like stretched shiny skin. Feeling it feels plastic. It has no pain either, though it used to early on.

So I was wondering, what caused this scar? I thought vaccines were just bits of the disease into you so you can fight it, I had no clue it could do stuff that damaged your skin.
