Maybe it's because I am usually around younger people but I notice quite a few guys seem to be a certain way around certain women. Maybe it's that inexperienced guys are nervous about every girl they approach, maybe it's that being a gentleman connotes so much deference to the ladies, maybe it's a mild and widespread bdsm going on, but quite a few guys seem to be submissive to women despite being bigger (even far bigger and stronger) than these women. Many a guy if not all of them simply can't talk to a "girl" in her face the way he does his friends or simply refuses to. I've not only talking about relationships but other "friends" wrapped around the finger of women as well.

I'm not trying to insult anyone here for their personality or behaviors but I feel it's weak when a man has no respect for himself and takes chivalry and niceness so far that he becomes some kind of person puppet. I think any secure, honest, and reasonable man should be able to put his foot down from time to time. This is not to say to goat out be a prick and bully. To me that is rude, overcompensating, and just as weak.

IRL I feel these men are being weaker than the women they are interacting with in every way but physically and I like the idea of them being shrunken down. I like picturing the women feeling comfortable and easily transitioning to being able to carry around and keep these men without much hesitation. I also feel that the size difference would add a bit of rationality to the dynamic from a physical perspective.
