What if we find super-intelligent life but their society is extremely 'primitive' and simple.

They know all our physics and math intuitively even as children. They're computational powers are super-computer level. But they don't believe in "growth" or "progress" and they have no use for technology; they basically live as peaceful farmers who take care of their families and meditate and philosophize in their free-time.

>Be 2nd year engineer student.
Your dad, who happens to be a wealthy oil sheik, is paying you to study in America and get a Phd. But it has to be in engineering, petrol or chemical....

The thing is, he's paying for all your expenses and like 10k a month living allowance, but you don't really care about engineering and would rather just study literature and be a writer/philosopher instead...

How can you trick him into thinking you're still in engineering, so the money doesn't get cut? He requests official transcripts at end of every term and pictures of you in the lab...

Who was the most philosophically advanced and insightful Scientist?

Was it Schrodinger, Heisenberg? Those guys seemed pretty interested in philosophical style questions...

>Fenyman need not be mentioned, he was too 1-dimensional and shallow of a thinker

When people say they disbelieve in God because of lack of scientific evidence, do they realize such a thing is impossible?

Scientific evidence for the existence of God would be as absurd as thinking that Jesus is God because he could walk on water. There is no empirical criteria for God-hood. And the only one able to judge whether something is evidence for God would be God himself.

Simply impressing a human with some phenomena shouldn't qualify as scientific evidence...whatever you think constitutes scientific evidence for God is wrong.

Furthermore to label something supernatural would require one to have complete knowledge of all natural phenomena, laws, and limits and exceptions...without total knowledge of everything you can't label something as being supernatural.

I'm not saying atheism is unreasonable, I'm saying that the mere demand for evidence is absurd, we can't even imagine what evidence of God would look like.
