Alright so I was watching The Expanse and I have a question. What would a “realistic” Rocinante look like? So far it seems like it wouldn’t have constant thrust because even our Fusion engine designs have nowhere near the ISP. It also seems like a realistic one would have a giant propellant tank. And giant radiators.

How realistic would it be if Roci was twice the length with a giant internal tank, big radiators, and a centrifuge? Just curious because I’m loving the show so far after reading most of the books.

so would real spaceships in the future really need a whole bunch of thrusters to steer like in the Expanse?

I thought current technology reaction wheels and gyroscopes already kinda solved that problem.
