Can imaginative powers be increased? Has there been any research on the subject? Say I spend an hour every day with my eyes closed in a state of deep concentration and building mind palaces, will it have any positive effect? I have a very strong inner voice and can easily reproduce songs, recordings, human voices, and other noises, but my mind eye is lacking. All I can picture are murky dark shapes, complex structures or faces tend to only flicker before falling apart.

How do I increase my IQ /sci/.

I don't have a PhD or anything, but does anyone else get the feel that there is something fundamentally like, missing within math and science? Like there is some component or prime direction that's just completely absent that tosses everything out the window?
