How big is the universe? Surely it cant just go on forever?

So some of my friends way smarter than me started a free MMO and asked me to write their scenario, because I'm apparently better than them for this kind of work. So I need to invent a world realistic and believable where the four seasons change every week of seven day. But the year would still be of 365 earth days. Any idea how I could pull this of and still be realistic?

Just get an atmosphere going and use nuclear fission reactors for energy. Let's try this without an earth core magnetic field. Venus has a different kind of magnetic field because of it's atmosphere that faces the sun. Maybe that'll be enough to keep life safe.

To Mankind she was an animal, as valuable as the clouded leopardess from that Bangkok zoo that had provided the DNA.
She could stand and walk on two legs, think, talk, sign, dance, love, and do everything a human could, she was as good as any other human, as intelligent as any human, and often more, much more, not that anybody cared.
But they would know, and it would be hilarious – Very embarrassing for the people of Earth, but they would get over it.
