It was good and very professional back in the old days with a strong scientific background. You really get the feeling that the persons and scientists wanted you to learn something astonishing.

Today popsci has become more entertainment and less learning. They want to impress you with computer animations and "Say Wow" every 5 seconds. But they have completely forgotten about the didactic aspect. If I watch a modern popsci show I can barely remember anything after it.
