how do I motivate myself to finish this course before the end of the year so I can get a promotion at work. I haven't properly studied for 2 years since I finished uni.

I can't be bothered studying at night after doing my office job all day. I have no problem motivating myself to do stuff like go to the gym

i am a very smart guy studying for my physics masters degree and my mathematics bachelor degree. However, I feel like I am not using my full potential due to waisting a lot of my time with silly things like youtube videos, movies, tv shows...
How do you stay motivated to study for a long time and not get distracted?

I have a similar problem, I started my BS when I was 18 and left half at 21 because I was diagnosed with depression. Now I have 25 and I want to resume my studies. Could it affect my medical record or my abandonment in my academic records?

My BS is in biochemistry.

The time I naturally go to sleep and then 14 hours later wake up shifts by about 6 hours each day also, so I've been having lots of difficulty living through my years of school and now college. I wish the world would let me be on my 30 hour cycle, but instead I'm exhausted most of the year. ;_;

That made me remember my education as kid and I never was told about books such as fucking loomis (I'm /ic/ faggot).

Or how in biology we never read The evolution of species.
Or how in physics we never read Galileo's dissertation or Netwons principia mathematica.
Even Adam smith book could also be taught.

You could argue they're outdated.
While I agree that is true, I do really feel schools shouldn't be just "factories" of knowledge.

I do feel we should "open" our kids minds and get them interested in a topic, rather than just churning out mediocre students.

I do feel it would be better to teach basic critical thinking skills than all that crap we may even don't care.

I dunno, I feel current system is crap.
I feel older systems of education (ateliers) are better.
