MBTI is a system that generalizes, and like all profiling systems, it is often met with apprehension when there is a syntax conflict. By having patience with those who may be obstinate when the topic of MBTI comes up, you can well convince them that it is, 1), Not a definitive adamance about one’s reality, and, 2) Functions gracefully when approached as a tool to enhance one’s self reflection. The system is subjective because the subject, (You)r consciousness, is societally subjective.

The issue stems from a disagreement in some form of definition; people approach the system by seeing it as, a), an obtuse tool that assigns limitation to someone, and placed them somewhere. Their fear stems from the idea that this inherently devalues people, when in reality equality as the idea does not stem from observation of function but by mere existence. We acquiesce that humans are not inherently, physical equal. Not in intelligence and not in body. Some types of individuals have a hard time admitting that socially, or inwardly, but we accept and treat ourselves as equals because equality is about collaboration and civilization, advancement and unity, which becomes conflict when there is sadism of measurement. At least as an ideal it’s an attempt to be higher minded, something I can respect.
