What's a tasteless substance that mixes well with tap water or spring water and can kill a man in either 40 minutes or 4-18 weeks or months? Can cancer be given as a virus?
How about accidents via dumb common stuff like wild berry poisoning and drinking more than 5 liters of water without taking a piss?

Alternatively what is the most painless way to die?

Hi /sci/

I search for scientific .onion forums. Anyone has links?

I'm applying for college but having troubles picking a major. I am interested in all sciences. Computer science, computer engineering, biology, chemistry, physics, theoretical physics, quantum physics, pharmaceuticals, genetic engineering, you name it and I want to know everything about it. Problem is, I have to pick one. Which field or major would put me in an atmosphere to have as many of the sciences as possible? I've heard of mechatronics, but no college offers that as a specific major besides MIT and 2 other colleges I wouldn't be able to attend. Any specific college suggestions will be appreciated! (US only) I've been mostly interested in computers and mainly thought about cyber security or computer engineering. Can a degree in computer science really get me anywhere or is it just the pre-requisit for the other two? Besides computers, quantum stuff or maths/experiments relating to the universe come as the second most interesting to me. Lastly biology in the sense of genetically modifying species, stem cells, cloning, as the more sci-fi sounding aspects are interesting. Medicine isn't so interesting besides nootropics- if they actually work or can potentially work. Robotics is a possibility but I wouldn't want to build assembly bots and instead strive to build an "android".
Suggestions and/or advice please? Thank you!

Tl;dr- Want "sci-fi" scientific life, can't choose major, what do?

What got you into science.
What field are you in?
If none, which one would you like to be in?
If you are in one, what degrees do you have and what have you worked with?

TV shows I watched as a kid, and I am doing a Bachelor in Biology.

Science is evidencing observation as inherent with reality. There is likely no development of observation's innateness without an Observer.

It seems that obvervation is inherent with reality (video); order is also inherent (the law of conservation of energy); so objective morality is thus apparent (efficiency).

..If the experiment would result the same in other manners, and it remain fundamental -- the only explanation for the initial development of observation is an Observer.

Correlatively, sexuality is possibly learned (fetishes). There seems no evidence, or research, that includes a control group that hasn't been informed of sexuality standards, for non-biased (innate) attraction, nor is there reason for such.

I need a journal article. Can we have a journal article request thread? If you can find them, upload them to tinyupload or something and post the link. For science, /sci/.

I'm looking for:
Finding a Needle In a Haystack or Identifying Anonymous Census Records by Tore Dalenius
