>Mercury and Venus are relatively very boring
>Mercury
We got vast (possibly billions of tonnes) deposits of ice on Mercury, and you think thats boring?

On topic, NASA is way too stretched out to be doing much anything else. NASA is not the space pioneer of the future, that much is for certain. Look towards privatization of the industry for that.

GOD DAMMIT

Try to understand that the universe isn't fit for life,
rather life is fit for the universe.

If the universe had been different, life would have been different.

The OP's question stems from a common but illogical anthropocentric view of the universe and life.
