Other people are probably more suited to answer this than I,
but I asked a question a while back on here that seems sort of related which I found a bit shocking.

Pic related, if the andromeda galaxy were bright enough it would actually appear larger than the moon on a typical night.

That really shook my notions of the angular sizes of some things.
