In all seriousness, a small minority of engineers are tolerable. If they really are great at what they do and find a career path that suits them, they have nothing but my respect. But most of the engineers I meet have an unwarranted sense of acconplishment and importance, which is probably either a) some sort of self-esteem defense mechanism or b) an indicator of how legitimately retarded they are for thinking so highly of themselves after passing a freshman physics course.

Is CS a meme degree? Is CS a legitimate discipline of study? Will we develop AI that can program itself?
