I heard biology is a weak science.

Is this true?

I need some help /sci/ :(
protein synthesis is such a bitch and I'm struggling with my homework.

With what structure is the RER often seen to be continuous, as seen by its association with ribosomes?
I think it's the outer nuclear membrane, yes?

So I would like to start by highlighting the fact that I am trying to be as conscientious as possible in regards to the fact that it may come across as I'm trolling- which I'm not.

I just wondered how far does /sci/ agree that from an evolutionary standpoint, homosexuality is a defect, and that could be why gays are persecuted in society.

I mean I have no prejudice against anyone who chooses to be gay, or didn't choose or whatever may be the case; but scientifically is is fair enough to say that being gay is wrong?

For example, homosexuality is a wall in regards to breeding and generally in Biology if something does not conform to the general population of a species it is considered a mutation, and if it hinders the production of viable offspring then it is considered a defect.

So what does /sci/ think about it, is homosexuality a neurological defect? Do you consider it either physical or psychological?

I might adapt this for my phd thesis in biology next year :)

Biology student here, though not a homework fag.

I kind of understand the concepts within Biology individually, but I feel like I can't see the whole picture, and can't help but thinking that it would make sense if I knew that little piece.

When I look at Biology (particularly cellular functions), I think of it as a massive infinite Rube Goldberg machine. But no matter how many steps you add, it doesn't make sense, without the trigger.)

Could someone explain this so that I can understand it better?

(Tl:dr -- Biology, how does it work?)

So, according to /sci/, if I study biology I study nothing because physicists study all nature already

So, I'm doing a biology licenciature in europe wich is the same as a biology degree in USA, and one of my signatures (optional) is biotechnology

If I take that signature, it would be like if I have also a biotechnology degree in USA?

Why does /b/ hate biology so much? Its pretty much just applied physics and chem anyway.

Also i don't understand it when you say it is all memorisation and no calculations. I do ecology and biotechnology and both require problem solving, ecology even uses maths!

Fuck you /Sci/, this board is a massive piece of shit.

The only shit on here is fucking threads were you retards fall for obvious religion trolls and stupid physics shit no one gives a fuck about.

Where is all the biology, chemistry and geology, ie the interesting sciences.

There is a reason why all of you are fucking anti-social fucktards, no one gives a fuck about physics!

TLDR: Post more bio and earth science, they are the better sciences.
