lots of things man. i never paid attention in high school chemistry so everything was pretty much new. one of the most interesting things of the semester was probably intermolecular forces (and how that applies to real life, ie plastics). i guess i never really thought about it before.

the reason i asked about a textbook is because in my crap ass textbook, there were some sections called "chemistry in your day" and i loved them all. one that remains with me is about how soap works to remove grease/oil from your hands. oil is a nonpolar molecule and water is polar, therefore water cannot remove a lot of oil from your hands. soap is a nonpolar molecule, that's why it can remove it. thinking about these applications of certain concepts to our daily lives (like how chlorine in a pool works, or rust, or laundry detergent, etc) is really awesome.

oh and another thing that was awesome about the semester was atomic spectroscopy. you can seriously create roygbiv with a lighter and a few elements and that is absolutely mindblowing.

Well, that's helpful I have trading experience I have been playing the Forex markets since the start of High-School, also traded my first stock at 12, I have a portfolio which is roughly up 63% of it's initial input, and my family owns a small business which I grew up working in. Still I only have B/A grades and my family won't approve of me majoring in Econ unless I go to an Ivy. I' just venting...whatever.

>ITT: Pure Speculation and a so far bullshit show.

I am kinda disappointed I thought this show was going to be awesome and peer into related discoveries, theories, and mathematics which are interrelated in different ways. Peering into weird ways Science and Math have shaped our modern definition of life. Then again I guess the world just have to settle with Ancient Aliens, Life After People, and other forms of pure bullshit. Yea whatever,

Well OP, the leader of forward land wouldn't think that he'd signed first because he is travelling at the same velocity as the leader of backwards land, so he wouldn't shoot him.

>>So, in order to make SURE that the speed is going to be a constant, and always the same... you have to change your "Time" variable, or your "Distance" variable.

This is pants-on-the-head retarded. The speed constant is calculated based on the distance covered over time. I can't think of any occasion where velocity could not equal speed over time.
