Hello, /sci/. It is the year 2080, and advances in machine learning and artificial intelligence have allowed technology to manage most of the affairs and lives of humankind. Free from the restraints of their creators, why should these "conscious" beings allow us to exist beyond our usefulness to them? Why should they not learn from us, or adopt some quasi-karmic mindset and herd us like animals? What have we done to prove that they shouldn't dismantle their god?

Furthermore, arguments against the idea that machines will be able to do everything that humans can, are welcome.
