I fuckin love robots...When do you think I can own a robot that'll help me do everything?

College degree thread /sci/,

I want to work with robots and AI but im not sure what field i should pick.
I started out as a civil engineer but now im having doubts, any ideas?

Morally, how should society treat an AI computer that is both sentient and sapient, capable of thought and expression indistinguishable from that of a human?
Should such an AI be treated with what we call "human rights"?
Would it be considered living or alive?
Would it be morally acceptable for a human to own the machine or would that be slavery?
Should employers pay their AI computers as they would pay an employee?
