If carbon restrictions ever get really tight in the future (i.e anything that produces CO2 when burned is banned outright), we should unironically turn to Ammoniox fuel.

Ammonia (NH3) is both dirt cheap, storable at room temperature (under pressure), and releases no carbon when burned with LOX. However, it produces ozone-damaging NO if burned fuel rich, so it would have to be burned oxidizer rich.
