Most people's thought processes concerning economics are completely unrealistic, there is no continuum from state planning to laissez faire, the whole capitalism versus socialism debate is retarded and pointless from the beginning, capitalism requires that property rights are protected by a complex set of laws in the first place, the exact nature of these laws is the question here.

Take the knee-jerk reaction to the austrian school from this forum's resident hipsters with a pinch of salt, the austrian school gets a lot of flak from politicians who want excuses to lower the interest rates of state banks excessively and print money as well as corporations that want to keep regulations, subsidies and tax codes which favor them. Core concepts such as the price mechanism, purchasing power and the "problem of economic calculation" are logical and objective, there are bad apples as with every large group of people in this case the chicago school but you're a retard if you think that justifies state planning.

There isn't a big bucket of crude oil somewhere like a milkshake that will go dry suddenly, if there were then the corporations you hate so much would hoarde the crude to sell it at exorbitant prices later when it does run dry.

Humans figured out how stop a tragedy of the commons before civilization began, tribes would hang the skulls of things they killed at meeting spots so when other tribes came along they could gauge which species have been over-predated and which species they should be hunting. Only trendy hipsters who are fresh from watching avatar actually believe we are hurtling towards self-destruction, that they are the only ones to think this and that they are cool and edgy for doing so.

You advocate corporatism because you don't understand how the real world works, you live in a world of continuums, dichotomies and emotional appeals.
