alright I got F=3956

I changed all the mm to metres, and changed yield stress to N/m^2

also I used Fd/4

so if
F = 3956N
mg = 3956N
m = 403kg

that seems kinda low doesn't it?

am I just a dumbfuck? I was expecting something in the 000s range.

the stupidest shit you heard on /sci/

il start

1.(goes something like this)IM GOING FOR A CHEMISTRY MAJOR,tldr CAN ANYBODY ENPLANE ME WHAT IS A MOL

2.IM GOING TO STUDY BIOLOGY IN COLLAGE, CAN ANYONE EXPLANE ME WHY DO LEAFS TURN YELLOW OR RED IN AUTUMN

3.(in some quantum physics thread) YEA IM GOING TO STUDY QUANTUM PHYSICS IN COLLAGE (failed miserably at expressing his highschool algebra, calculus and explaining the third law of thermodynamics)

4.(this is from a while ago)1) Does something which is weightless have resistance? Like, if you were in a car cruising at 100km/h on a perfectly straight road with absolutely no wind, you would slow down because air has genuine substance as you move through it. The faster you go, the thicker the air effectively gets. But if something is weightless and traveling at the same speed in the same conditions, would it slow down on it's own?

2) Is it possible to slow down a photon and would it still be emitting visible light? Say, for example, you had a machine that could shoot photons in a way that it looked like a wall of light. Could those photons be slowed down to a point where you could walk faster than it, but continue to emit visible light?

So what does that mean? That we can actually create portals, which we can use to send information ftl?
